Guess what we did last night?!

We went to the jazz game!!

Guess where we sat?!

In a suite!  It was sweet! ;)

Logan got 4 tickets from work so we called up Galen
and Justin and got pampered while we watched the Jazz
beat the Knicks.

Thanks Joe for the tickets!

Par-tay with the Nelson crew.

When ever the Nelson family gets together, there is never
a dull moment.

Especially when it's just the Nelson ladies.

My amazing aunts Diana, Sylvia, and Jennifer threw me
a baby shower and it was just as crazy and fun as was to
be expected!

We played lots of fun games.

And chatted as much as we could.

There was tons and tons of great chow.

And I got my first pack of diapers!!

Thanks everyone for the good times!!

*My wonderful sis took all the pictures for me.  Thanks sissy!!

Sissy's Show

Logan and I had the wonderful opportunity to go
and watch Shara's last orchestra concert of the school year.

I have been to both previous concerts she had this year and Logan
was able to go to one.  Because we were able to see these earlier
concerts, we were a little nervous for this one..
Let's just say there is certainly a big difference between
"Jr. High talent" and "High School talent."

Pointing out her name in the program.

Shara's BFF Eric is in the jazz band.

They did really good.

Pops is such a nice man, he helps out with the music stuff over at
the school and plays the piano when they have concerts.

He always gets the loudest cheers (because I'm kind of loud...)

Sissy was sitting behind some large chic so I did not get
a picture of her playing.  Here is her orchestra group though.

She is on the very left behind the girl all in black.

They have definitely improved over the year!  I was very
happy I didn't have to cover my ears in pain.  :)

During the majority of the pieces I was trying to figure out
what the sign above the stage meant.

I forgot to ask Shar what it was all about..

Logan, on the other hand, was doing something a little different..

I'm glad goon doesn't take after him too much...  She was dancing
around the whole time.  She loved it!

Afterwords, we headed over to Ma and Pa's house to try out

 Thanks Lindsey for the recipe!!

De-lish and good job Sis!!

The Cart Guy

Living and working in this lovely place called Kearns
entitles me to so many fantastic opportunties....

... to see weirdos.

Now, don't get me wrong, not everyone over here is
a wack-job.  We just seem to have a higher concentration
than a few other places around the valley.

Take for instance the man who brings his dogs to the vet
in a shopping cart.

Now why are they in a shopping cart and not just walking
along side their owner like normal dogs?

See for your self.

"Free" is a 95+ pound german shepherd heading into her 19th year of life.
"Moe" is a 2-legged pup.

Oh the joys..  At least there is never a dull day.

A long, long time ago....

...we had to come up with a super clever way to tell the world
we were adding to our little family.

After lots of discussing and debating we came up with
three perfect ideas.

First, we told my family.
My dad's birthday present was a few weeks late but
I think he still liked it.

"great dads get promoted to grandpa"

Next, we told Logan's family.
Long before I was pregnant Logan told me he wanted
to make a movie to announce the news. I was a little
skeptical... until I saw the finished project.

Then finally, we decided to tell the rest of the world.
This, of course, meant a post on facebook.

Our little pumpkin family.

Seems like forever ago we were just telling everyone
our good news.  Now we have 7 weeks left!!

Although... doc did say as soon as I was 37 weeks I
could tell her to come on out...  Maybe she will be here a
little sooner... :)

That icky "T" word... pt. 2

Well, for some reason the government decided
to send us a bigger return than we originally planned on.

Because of this, we changed our spending plans.

Welcome to the family! :)

This creepy little room sure does not do them justice...

Can't wait to put them to the test when goon
comes along!

Just when you thought I was done...

... I surprise you with more pictures from Hungary!

Here are just a few random shots that I thought
you would love to see.

Here are the boys (looking thrilled..) eating some pastries.

You would think since they got dessert for dinner they would look a little happier.

This is the Basilica in Eger.

And tiny little Logan at the bottom.

Remember those slippery stairs from this post?
Well, I kind of left out the part where I fell down them..

Logan wouldn't help me up until he got a picture.  Rude.

 Another foggy day picture.

Elizabeth Bridge from the middle of Gelert Hill.

Walking down Andrassy Ut. heading back from Hero's Square.

I just love these streets.

The fog lifted a little at night so we could get some
pictures of The Chain Bridge.

This was the first bridge built that connected Buda and Pest.

And last, our happy faces after waking up super early to get to
the airport to head back home.

Wow...

Just found this pic from when I was just
barely starting to grow little goon.

 Gotta love that cheese ;)

I don't remember being that little...  Good thing next year
will be chuck full of running my little heart out so I can
wear those jeans again one day.

Any one gonna get skinny with me? :)

Terror Haza

While we were in Budapest we went to The House of Terror.
It was....
 amazing.

horrific.

spectacular.

This building, at 60 Andrassy Utca, was headquarters to two
different, awful groups:  the Nazis and the Communists.
Now it is a museum showing the terrible things that happened
during their reigns.

This is the first thing you see when you start the tour.
It is also the only thing you are allowed to take pictures of.

The walls are covered with pictures of victims.  It goes up three stories high.  Too many faces..

The platform under the tank is covered in oil.  It slowly
drips down off the sides.
It kind of sets the mood for the rest of the exhibits.

There were many horrible things that made my heart hurt.
One of the things that stood out to me the most though
were the reconstructed prison cells.

"Interrogations - in line with Soviet practice - were usually held at night.
Suspects were prevented from sleeping for several nights, and in many
cases were held without food and water.  They employed every
possible method of physical and psychological pressure on their victims.
Facing the wall with their noses rammed against it, or with arms stretched
out horizontally, sometimes for 10-12 hours.
Beatings with truncheons were everyday affairs, as well as
"physical exercises"; some were tortured with electric current, burring cigarettes, pliers..."

I can not even begin to imagine how people thought
things like that were ok.  Makes me a little ill.

I asked Logan what he liked most:
"i like the history it tells about the nazi and communist reigns"
So, in other words, the whole museum... Silly boy.

If you are in the area, you CAN NOT pass this by.
It will change you.

In June they have a special exhibit coming.

I would go back just to see this.
Even just this one little display gives me the chills.

Love, love this.

Haircut!!

Well, I finally did it!  I cut Logan's hair!

I was going to cut it last time he needed a cut, but
when the time came I was feeling pretty sick so my
dad did it for me.

This time, there was no excuses though.
Just look at that mop on his head!

JoAnn coached me along....

Trying to help me not chop off his ear....
Oops, sorry about that sweetie!!

Cami was also helping.
You can see her finger pointing to all the spots I missed.

In the end I was able to finish him up all by myself.
Well... except for the finishing touches..  JoAnn took care of that.

In the end, my handsome man is back!
What a hunk!
